Welcome to Valley Veterinarians. We have been a trusted veterinary hospital for 30 years. We are conveniently located at 3763 Teays Valley Road in Hurricane, WV.

Surgery and Routine Dental Care
Valley Veterinarians offers a wide variety of surgical procedures for your pets, including soft tissue surgery, spays and neuters, routine dental cleaning, and many others deemed necessary as need arises. Our Doctors understand how you feel and worry about your best friend undergoing anesthesia and surgery. So, we take extra care to answer any questions you may have about pre and post-op care. We also perform in house pre-operative blood work, physical exams, and digital x-rays; and use the best anesthetic and surgical methods available to make everything as safe as possible for your pet.
When Pets Aren't Feeing Well
When your furry family member isn't feeling well, our Doctors and staff work very hard to get you in for an appointment as soon as possible. We understand how concerned you are, and will take the time to do everything possible to help make your pet feel better soon.
We offer in house blood chemistries to evaluate internal organs and systems to check for dehydration, diabetes, liver and kidney disease, thyroid function, and others. A complete blood count while you wait, helps diagnose infections, anemia, and bleeding and bone marrow disorders.
Quick tests check for heartworms, intestinal parasites, lymes disease, Feline Leukemia and other viruses. Our digital x-ray machine gives us the ability to take a look inside at your pet's heart, lungs, liver, intestines, bladder and kidneys to help rule out heart disease, pneumonia, bladder stones and ingested toys.It also allows us to check for broken bones, arthritis, and some forms of cancer. All of this, often while you wait.
A microchip is the only form of pet identification that is permanent, with a unique number that can not be altered or removed. Chip readers are universal and have helped us reconnect many lost pets with their owners. This procedure can often be performed on an outpatient basis.
In Sickness and in Health
From new puppy exams, to geriatric check-ups, a thorough physical exam is very important to discover existing concerns and to evaluate your pet to help prevent problems in the future. Our Doctors and staff will help guide you and make recommendations on nutrition, preventative health care and other ways to help keep your pets healthy and happy.
Health certificates are often needed to travel with your pet. We can provide these for you and answer any questions to help make the trip as stress free as possible for you and your pet.
We offer daycare, overnight, and extended stay boarding for dogs and cats by reservation.
Vaccinations are essential for the prevention of diseases and general well being of your pet. Vaccinations are given in a series for puppies and kittens and maintained yearly thereafter. Our Doctors and staff can help you establish a vaccination program specifically designed for your pet's lifestyle that will help keep them safe.

Drs. Scott and Elizabeth Rogan established Valley Veterinarians in 1987. For 30 years since that time, they and Dr. Pam Irvine have been dedicated to serving the community and their pets. We have built an honorable reputation with high quality medicine and surgery, and compassionate, caring client and patient services. Our practice continues to grow every year, as we strive to develop and nurture long term relationships with our furry patients and their families.

This Spring we are very pleased to welcome Dr. Rachel Sheriff to Valley Veterinarians. Dr. Sheriff is a well respected, lifelong member of our Putnam County community, and we are very excited to have her join us as part of our Valley Veterinarians family. The addition of Dr. Sheriff will allow us to expand our services and better serve our growing practice needs.

Our Doctors and staff work hard together to provide outstanding, individualized care for you and your pets.
